Offered for sale is a desirable, circa 1870, wide mouth, apothecary bottle with an open pontil on the base.
The eight inch tall bottle is in very good condition and is empty of contents. The ground glass stopper fits snugly, and some faint interior hazing from age and use is noted. The early hand written paper label is securely pasted to the bottle and is marked "ZINC CARBONAS."
A very nice, early, pontilled bottle indeed!
